Officer Descriptions

• Vorstand - Responsible for representing the club as a professional entity including signing club official correspondence, marketing, and representation.

• Schriftführer - Assisting the Vorstand in making all necessary correspondence, keeping accurate records of all club correspondence, keeping the Vorstand informed of the contents of all current correspondence, keeping a current list of all members and their membership status, taking minutes at all club functions, keeping a calendar of times and dates of future club functions, and developing and mailing a newsletter to all members with the assistance of the Vorstand and the cooperation of all the other officers of the club.

• Kassier - The chief financial officer of this club. The Kassier will maintain the club's books, including receipts and disbursements.

• Trachtenwart - Responsible for ensuring that the club is preserving the traditional costumes of Germany. Primary responsibility is researching the authenticity of the club's Tracht and assisting members in acquiring the various pieces of Tracht. The Trachtenmutter will coordinate the purchase and/or construction of new costumes and will be the point of contact with the Gauverband Nordamerika on all costume matters.

• Archivar - The chief historian of the club. The Archivar will compile and maintain an accurate history of our club, research the dances and customs of Bavarian and the Tyrol, and assist the Trachtenmutter in researching the Tracht of the Allgäu region.

• Vorplattler - Responsible for dance leadership. This leadership includes the quality of presentation, determination of which dances will be performed and who will perform them, and dance instructions.

• 2nd Vorplattler - Will assist the Vorplatter in teaching the dances to all Performing Members of the club. In addition, he will act as Vorplattler in the event of the Vorplattler's absence, and he will preserve the traditional customs of Bavarian and Tyrol.

• Vortänzerin - The lead female dancer of this club. Responsible for dance leadership. This leadership includes the quality of presentation, determination of which dances will be performed and who will perform them, and dance instructions.

• 2nd Vortänzerin - Will assist the Vortänzerin in teaching the dances to all Performing Members of the club. In addition, he will act as Vortänzerin in the event of Vortänzerin's absence, and she will preserve the traditional customs of Bavarian and Tyrol.
